![]() For a lot of other people, Median XL succeeds where Diablo 3 fails, by vastly expanding its character skill trees and loot while remaining within the original spirit of the series. You can find the trailer below ahead of its August 27th release.įor a lot of people - Alice Bell included - Diablo 2 remains the peak of action RPGs. A trailer was released last night for Sigma 2.0, the mod's "largest engine and content patch." It'll bring new skills, progression changes, endgame content, and quality-of-life features including a revamped UI, colour blind mode, and 4K rescaling. to get it installed.Median XL is one of the oldest and most popular mods for Diablo 2 - and it's still being updated. Mods are not really my thing, but it is nice to try different perspectives of a beloved game. This post makes me interested in trying the mod. There’s zones that have drop biases for certain things such as uniques or sets that you can target farm and they’re less repetitive Drops are healthier and the farming activities both make more sense and are more rewarding. It’s a shame Median XL will likely never be playable on Resurrected graphics or it would be mindblowingly successfulĮdit: Median is not some D3 “everything gg drops in an hour” either but you don’t have to do 5,000 trav runs for a hr. Lots of nostalgia for sure but it’s just not optimized. I’m committed to finishing my pvp chars otherwise I’d have quit already. I returned to Diablo for pvp and new graphics but the game experience from walking through norm-hell, the abysmal drop rates, and the stale repeated farming is mind numbing and extremely boring. My opinion is that Median is night and day a better game than vanilla but it doesn’t have PvP - strictly a very fun and challenging PvM experience. ![]() If you haven’t tried it because it’s different, you’re being ignorant. ![]() Since this got necro’d, Median XL 2.0 is a masterpiece. ![]()
